The Poole Family: May 2013

My Sweet baby turned 3 months old this past Monday! This past month... Stephen turned 30 on May 1st and I returned to work over Mother's Day weekend and also stepped into a new position as "permanent" charge nurse in the NICU. It was a VERY busy weekend and I feel like I never had 12 weeks off! I think Emily is having a harder time adjusting to me going back to work than Matt. He is sleeping 8 to 10 hours during the night (with the Miracle Blanket of course!), and Emily likes to stay up until the very last possible minute she is able to keep her eyes open- usually between 10 and 11pm. She is such a night owl but she also gets up at 730 in the morning ready to GO! Matt remains a wonderful baby and does have a little reflux that we are treating with Prevacid now. Before I took him in for the appointment to discuss his reflux, he had started growing out of some of his 3m clothes already. No wonder because he weighed 13lb 4oz and was 24in long at 11 weeks! He amazes me in how fast he is growing and how many milestones he has already reached. Doesn't he know he MIGHT be my last baby and he needs to slow down ;) ?? Emily has been good and we took her on her first picnic this past week which she LOVED. She remains my sweet, sweet girl and is currently recovering from a chronic sinus infection, poor thing. I do believe she will have perfect attendance in her future when we start real school!!!

Matt, at 3 months you are.... Smiling AND LAUGHING, scooting around on the floor by using the heels of your feet, already trying to sit up by yourself, taking 6- 5oz bottles a day, and my favorite--sleeping through the night!!!
