Matt turns TWO!

Wearing his Mickey Mouse party face!

My sweet baby boy is TWO!  He has advanced SOOOOO much in the past 6 months.  At 18m, he was barely speaking 5 words and now he is a like a parrot and repeats everything you say plus some, has "favorite" phrases, and can ask for things he wants.   I am relieved and thankful for his improved speech and that boy can talk my ear off anytime he wants to!  He is SLOWLY working on gaining back weight from where he lacked in gaining any over the course of last year.  It is hard to put on weight when you had a fever of 103 every month that burned it all back off.  Right now he is in the 25% for weight (25lb 8oz) and also in the 25% for height (32").  He had the best time blowing out his candles over and over again (and even put it out with his hand once...don't worry, no burns), and he loved opening up his presents.  You could give that little boy anything in the world and he would think it was the best present ever.  Below are some of his favorite words, things, etc.  I am so proud of him!
  • "Whoa, dat was close"     "Wow, dat's cool!"    "Num, dat's good!"   "me Sorry"
  • Favorite Foods: Milch (milk), Feesh (Goldfish), Chee Toast, Tea, Nuggets, Ike Cream, Sammich, Fries, Juice, Crackers, Cancakes (pancakes), Sikle (popsicle), Coookies!
  • Plays with Cars, choo choos, pretends he is a kitty cat (thanks to Emily this is one of their favorite games), and likes to hug on the babydolls
He is full of himself and there is so much more I could list or post, but that is all I can think of for now!  I am thankful everyday for my sweet family and know that God has something special in store for this little guy!

Murray Court

I said goodbye to my childhood home this past weekend.  It is hard to believe I won't be driving this direction after almost 30 years of heading this way.  That house holds SO many memories for me and my family.  I am so happy my parents were able to sell it so that they can focus on building their dream home at the lake, but I will always be sad that it will no longer be my "home".  I hope the new family that lives there shows it love and makes many happy memories within its walls.  It was a beautiful house, a great place to grow up, and I will miss it always.
