Four Months

First time he rolled over

We have a BIG, healthy, and growing four month little boy!!!  At our checkup yesterday, he was 16lb 5oz (75%) and 25.5 in long (also 75%).  I've had to go and buy new clothes for him because he has outgrown them SO fast!  He is the SWEETEST little boy and so, so happy!  And he is definitely a mama's boy, which I LOVE since Emily is a definitely a Daddy's girl.  Matt rolled over from back to belly exactly one day shy of turning 4 months old.  I think he beat out his big sister by a couple of days on this particular milestone!  We continue to drool and chew on everything, but no visible signs of teeth yet!  We also started him on some rice cereal and he opens up his mouth like a little bird for the spoon, but he is still trying to get the hang of not pushing it all back out of his mouth with his tongue.  He loves to jump in his jumperoo or just play on the floor where he can roll over.  And he loves Emily--- watches everything she does and loves it when she comes and talks to him.  He is still sleeping through the night MOST of the time, which is good since he outgrew the miracle blanket as well.  He is a side sleeper and is not a pacifier baby despite my best efforts (because hey, sometimes it's a nice option when you need them to behave!).  He likes to suck on two of his fingers and sometimes his thumb, but he doesn't do it when he is tired or ready to go to sleep so hopefully that will NOT become a habit.   Pictures below!

Sweet Summertime!

It's Summertime!!! We have been to the lake twice now and played outside on numerous occasions.  Emily swims all by herself with her puddle jumper on!  I am so proud of her, especially since she has never had any swim lessons.  I call her my little water bug.  When her tubes were removed from her ears (since they weren't falling out on their own), she was left with holes in both of her eardrums that had to be patched.  Long story short, one hold closed and one did not so she will be wearing an earplug when swimming/bathing, for the next few years maybe, in our left ear until she has a future surgery to correct it.  It doesn't stop her at all though and she hasn't complained, sweet girl.  Matt is growing, growing, GROWING.  I will do his four month post next week after his checkup.

Riding on the Jet Ski for the first time, she kept saying "Go Faster!"
