The Poole Family: September 2013

I have a 7 month old...it is so hard to believe that he is already 7 months old! He is trying his hardest to crawl right now (gets up on all 4's and bounces, then pretty much face plants), and he likes to stand but hasn't really tried pulling himself up yet. I have found him awake in the sitting position once in his crib, but I have not seen him sit up again on his own. Needless to say, he is starting to REALLY be on the move and desires constant attention! He is eating baby food 2 to 3 times a day now on most days and LOVES sweet potatoes. I think he would prefer to eat just sweet potatoes and nothing else. I've tried all kinds of baby food, and if he doesn't like it- he will clamp that little mouth shut and refuse to open it for anything! He will even laugh with his lips shut because he has pretty much figured out that trick as well... Just two, cute, little, bottom teeth still and no more that I can see coming in yet! He weighs around 20lbs and just now transitioned to wearing 12m clothes! It's hard to tell exactly what color his eyes will end up being... right now they are blue sometimes and green sometimes. We will see!
He is just so sweet and chunky!! Emily LOVES him and they continue to be really good with each other. The whole past month, Matt has had a cold he hasn't been able to get rid of making him one cranky baby and challenging at times with two kiddos. We've had x-rays, 2 antibiotics, and jet neb albuterol treatments so far, I am taking him back to the doctor tomorrow for a follow up again... I'm thinking he is going to need another antibiotic and continued breathing treatments. :( Hopefully he will get better soon!
