Cough, Cold, and Ablation...

This past week, I took my sweet boy in for his first sick visit-- it is the first time I have EVER had to leave work early!  He was diagnosed with his first ear infection and has a wheezing, yucky cough all due to his first daycare cold.  He was only in there 2 days before he got sick!!  Maybe he picked it up at Target ;) ?  So Wednesday we went to the doctor for him, Thursday I spent at home with him doing jet neb treatments and resting, and Friday.... I went in for a cardiac ablation.  While pregnant with Emily, I developed a PVC arrhythmia that increased in frequency over the years despite medication.  Due to the arrhythmia and the constant fatigue, I had a cardiac ablation procedure done on Friday!  It was successful, but may not be my last one ever since they noted another area causing PVCs in my heart.  I know it all sounds confusing, but overall, the past two days I have not experienced anything like I have over the past 4 years.  It almost has felt "weird" to have a normal heart rhythm again and it's only day 2!  Please pray that my heart and leg continue to heal in the coming weeks and that my body adjusts well to my new medication regime!  Hopefully these will not have to be permanent medications, but only time will tell.   Emily has also caught Matt's cold, but thankfully is not wheezing and does not have an ear infection (yet)!  And Matt also spread the love to Stephen... I am so thankful that I have not yet gotten his cold or else I may not have been able to go through the surgery on Friday!  And I probably would have a harder time recovering too!  I have been very tired since coming home yesterday and am taking it easy.  The hardest part is that I cannot pick my babies up for 5 DAYS!  It feels unnatural to not be the one taking care of their every need and I am anxious for Thursday to arrive when I can lift them back up into my arms.  Thank you to everyone for the prayers, sweet comments, and well wishes.  I appreciated all of your messages while I was in the hospital and am grateful for the prayers and that my procedure is (so far) a success!  Love to all of you!

Had to put him in Emily's seat when I picked him up early-- he LOVED it!
(Don't worry, I turned it rear facing...)

Sick baby with his first ear infection... here we go again!

Good luck trying to put a mask on this kid--- the nurse told me to let him "chew" on the mouthpiece instead

Likes to play with the tubing and chew on it more than the mouthpiece

Two hospital bracelets, multiple monitoring systems,
5 IV access sites, 3 new medications, one ablation,
one overnight stay, and LOTS of prayers--
I'm home and recovering!!!
