Summer is flying by and we have been busy working, playing, and having fun! Here is a picture posting of what we have been doing lately!

FIRST juice box! That's right-- he can have THIN, good ol' regular liquids now!
Swallow Study day:: Spent 45min of the appointment screaming during the upper GI portion to check for reflux. He managed to spray me and one of the X-ray techs with barium, coated it in his hair, his ears, and his eyes, wiggled out of his pants and his shoes, and ended up having 2 techs, 2 doctors, 1 speech therapist, and me singing itsy bitsy spider to him to help him calm down (which did not work but it was worth a try!). After getting cleaned up, he had the swallow study portion done and did not aspirate! He did penetrate so we are watching him still for persistent coughing etc, but so excited to be able to give him WHATEVER he wants to eat and drink! Current favorite: Sweet Tea! ;) |
