We had the BEST time in Hilton Head last week as a family, even though I now truly know what it means to "need a vacation from vacation" after chasing two kids around! I have got some beach-loving babies for sure! Matt would have swam (drowned) all the way across the ocean if he could have and Emily loved making "seashell soup" and sandcastles on the beach, as well as jumping the waves. We had great weather and enjoyed our time as a family of four along with spending time with my parents and sister later in the week. Matt stayed healthy the whole vacation BUT ran a fever the night we returned home-- this required three trips to the doctor, A LOT of lab work, more antibiotics, a new specialist (infectious disease doctor now on board), and most upsetting to me-- a canceled surgery this morning. He does get to stop his prophylactic antibiotic though since it seems to not really be preventing anything! I was really hoping he would stay healthy enough to get those adenoids out and his airway examined but I would rather him be safe and have surgery when he is better. Below are our pictures from our fun time in HHI! ~I apologize for the amount of pictures BUT I did take over 1000 pictures on vacation! Can't help but think my kiddos are pretty cute ;)~
